Working with a division of a large engineering and environmental consultancy, Akita Intelligent Solutions undertook a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing deployment to align marketing efforts with an existing Dynamics 365 Sales solution.
The organisation works with a global customer base of infrastructure companies, financial institutions and government bodies. Given its reach, the division required a sophisticated marketing automation solution to support growth targets.
Integrating Sales & Marketing Data
As the division already utilised Microsoft Dynamics 365 as its sales CRM solution, Dynamics 365 Marketing was chosen as an automation platform due to its advanced capabilities and simplicity of integration with existing systems. So, in approaching the requirement Akita undertook a comprehensive project approach to ensure the new Dynamics 365 Marketing implementation would work seamlessly with the existing Dynamics 365 Sales solution from Day One.
New to marketing automation, the organisation wished to adopt a phased approach to the marketing functionality available. However, our consultancy phase determined that email marketing automation would be one of the core activities.
Our efforts around configuration, deployment and training, therefore, focused on ensuring staff were fully confident in creating email campaigns and customisable user journeys within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing.
This meant at launch that the organisation was ready to get underway with automated email campaigns, utilising existing data drawn from Dynamics 365 Sales.
Dynamics 365 Marketing Implementation Support
Post-deployment, Akita has provided the organisation with a managed service plan. This provides banked time for use on minor changes, consultancy, support and further training.
Providing this has provided additional peace of mind around the deployment, ensuring the necessary assistance is available as necessary. The service will also support the organisation’s phased approach to adopting more functionality in the future, allowing them to access further training and support for each new transition.
