Utilising Microsoft Power BI to enhance sales reporting and business intelligence
Working with an innovative company in the automotive sector, Akita delivered a Power BI sales dashboard to simplify reporting on the performance of a new team.
Smarter Use Of data
The company had recently implemented a contact centre team as a means of driving new enquiries. As part of team management, the company wanted to be able to measure how many leads and prospective clients each member of the team generated, as well as gather data around performance across the team as a whole.
Based on the requirement, we delivered a Power BI sales dashboard solution that integrates with the sales data from Dynamics 365.
The sales dashboard provides information on the three key metric areas: leads to opportunity conversion rates; leads where contact had been made to a client by phone; and opportunities from which the team had been involved and contacted the decision-maker at the client’s company.
By measuring these three KPIs, the impact of the new contact centre team can be gauged.
Always Up-To-Date Sales Dashboard
Information for the sales dashboard is taken live from Dynamics 365, so reporting is instant and information always up to date. However, using filters within the Power BI sales dashboard report, management can also examine data over time, allowing for historic trends to be identified.
Reports can also be filtered by individual agents, as well as overall team performance. This allows for the management team to identify where individuals may need additional support and how the team is performing on overall.
Given that the team is a new development within the company, the Power BI Sales dashboard reporting solution will provide valuable data on how their efforts are contributing to overall sales. In turn, it will also provide useful information on performance trends.
