Supporting a global manufacturer of vehicle safety equipment with sales CRM system deployment and ERP integration.
Operating with approximately 200 staff located around the world, the company was struggling with a legacy CRM solution that suffered from poor user adoption from the various teams using the platform.
The organisation was also experiencing ERP integration issues with its multiple on-premise Business Central localisations. Recognising both of these points as barriers to performance, the company worked with Akita Intelligent Solutions to implement a new cloud-based Microsoft CRM solution that would align business systems.
We worked with the company on the advanced configuration of Dynamics 365 Sales to match its custom business process flow. This included regionalised data entry rules configured to users’ global locations. We also implemented advanced levels of security for the application.
With multiple on-premise instances of Business Central, the ERP integration was complex requirement. However, we achieved effective two-way data syncs with all of the localisations. We also ensured that Dynamics 365 Sales was tailored for the various Business Central process flows, thereby ensuring a tight CRM-ERP integration.
And to address the issue of user adoption, we worked between the company and a third-party training provider to ensure that users were sufficiently trained and confident in the use of the new Microsoft CRM solution. This included the provision of hypercare after deployment to ensure any minor changes required post-deployment were completed.
The result of the Dynamics 365 Sales deployment and ERP integration has been tighter business systems with simpler, more accurate tracking of data and revenue information.
Users, too, have expressed being much happier with the new solution. Usage of the company’s CRM system has increased as a result, unlocking efficiency benefits in the process.
