CRM migration strategy, deployment and ongoing support for a London-based booking software company
Akita recently completed Dynamics On-Premise To Dynamics 365 migration project for a leading booking software company.
The company had been using a legacy on-premise version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. As Dynamics CRM is no longer a supported Microsoft product, the company wished to make the change for reasons of security and to capitalise on the new features offered by Dynamics 365.
For various reasons, the company also wanted the new solution to be on-premise as well. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is available as both cloud and on-premise solutions, so we were able to fulfil their requirements while delivering the latest CRM software version.
Through consultancy and planning, we were able to strategise a migration plan that avoided business interruption during this complex process. Our planning process successfully mitigated the risks inherent in a Dynamics CRM migration.
Undertaking The Dynamics On-Premise To Dynamics 365 Migration
When it came to undertaking the Dynamics On-Premise to Dynamics 365 migration, it was clear that the process was very involved. To ensure success, a consultant worked in-house with the company for a period of a month to oversee the migration, meaning they were on hand should issues arise.
Part of the task also included custom javascript coding to allow for the integration of necessary third-party software with the new CRM tenant. This was successfully achieved, allowing the company to access the software (which was vital to business processes) within Dynamics 365.
Following the successful completion of the project (and as a standard offering of many of our projects), we have provided ongoing responsive support for the company while they get up and running with their new Dynamics 365 instance. This has facilitated the smooth operation of the new CRM system and ensured any user queries are answered quickly.
